ARTMS member Haseul recently shared a baseball entry guide on her YouTube channel, revealing her 17-year fandom for the Kia Tigers. The singer explained core rules and stadium experiences, noting that she has supported the team with the most championships in Korean professional baseball since her first year of middle school.

Haseul, a member of the group ARTMS, has revealed her side as a baseball fan of 17 years. Through her YouTube channel, she recently shared a "baseball entry guide" covering everything from basic rules to her affection for the team she supports.

"Fell in love watching baseball every day after puberty"... 17 years of Kia Tigers fandom

Haseul stated that she began taking an interest in baseball around her first year of middle school. She was naturally introduced to the sport because her parents liked baseball and her younger sibling began accompanying them to the stadium. However, she confessed that because she was going through puberty at the time, she could not immediately immerse herself in the atmosphere of her parents cheering loudly.

She fell deeply into baseball thanks to an environment where baseball broadcasts were playing at home every day. Mentioning her supported team, the Kia Tigers, she expressed her affection for Kia, the team with the most championships in Korean professional baseball. She emphasized that her love for baseball is similar to the way fans cherish their artists.

"Pitchers and batters are lifelong partners"... Explaining baseball terms for beginners

For those finding it difficult to enter the world of baseball, Haseul step-by-step explained the core rules. Starting with the basic roles of pitchers and batters, she continued with explanations of the stadium structure and positions. In particular, she referred to the relationship between the pitcher and catcher as a "battery," explaining that the two roles are inseparable. She distinguished roles by explaining that if a starting pitcher throws from the 1st to the 5th or as late as the 7th inning, the pitcher throwing in the 9th inning is the closer.

She added specific explanations regarding game operations. She mentioned the structure of a game lasting nine innings, the method of alternating offense and defense, and the fact that a pitcher usually throws about 80 to 100 pitches. Furthermore, she explained from a beginner's perspective the changing landscape of recent games, such as catchers using machines inside their hats instead of sending hand signals directly, the concept of the strike zone, and the difference between a "walk" and a "strikeout." She also shared the interesting fact that the dance performed during a strikeout is intended to look annoying.

Regarding the concept of the "designated hitter," she helped understanding by explaining, "It is usually a role where the best hitter is placed," using the example of a grand slam to explain why the 4th batter is important. She added that a grand slam is a situation where a home run is hit when 1st, 2nd, and 3rd base are all full, resulting in a large number of points.

"There is no changing teams"... The joy of stadium food and watching live

Haseul also shared her life as a baseball fan and her experiences watching games live. While the 10 clubs in Korean professional baseball represent their respective regions, she said a characteristic of baseball fans is that once they choose a team, they look only at that team and live with them for life, much like being married. This means a fan stays with the team until the end, even if the team is performing poorly.

She provided information on food available when visiting baseball stadiums. She mentioned characteristic foods from various stadiums, such as cream shrimp eaten at the Daejeon Hanwha baseball stadium and tteokbokki at the Incheon baseball stadium. She also added that the viewing environment has become very convenient, with services recently introduced at baseball stadiums such as delivering food to seats or serving beer. Haseul noted that she does not eat much food at the stadium because she has to stand up every time she cheers.

Finally, Haseul mentioned her connection with fans. She suggested that if fans want to meet her, they should be at the baseball stadium, implying that she has actually encountered fans at the stadium, expressing her desire to communicate with fans through the sport of baseball.
