RIIZE competes in bottle cap curling for 1 million won scholarship

RIIZE members competed in a "Bottle Cap Curling" tournament during a KBS Kpop 'IDOL 1N2D' video to win a 1 million won scholarship. While the group showcased various athletic backgrounds, they also shared that their upcoming acoustic pop song is titled 'Insomnia'.

The group RIIZE transformed into physical education students, emphasizing physical prowess over visuals. In a video released through the KBS Kpop channel's 'IDOL 1N2D', RIIZE entered a competition held under the setting of a physical education university joint membership training (MT) to win a 1 million won scholarship.

"My rival is my yesterday self"... RIIZE armed with different characters

The RIIZE members signaled the start of the MT by introducing themselves with unique personalities based on their respective athletic backgrounds. The members revealed diverse sporting histories, including ANTON from the kendo club, SHOTARO who played hockey, Won Bin who introduced himself as being from the track and field club, Lee Su who claimed to be a tennis prince, Moon Seok from taekwondo, and Jung Sung-chan from the shooting club. Wearing outfits suited to the physical education student concept, the members boosted the atmosphere while checking out each other's styles.

During the session, RIIZE also shared news regarding their comeback. The members explained that their new song, 'Insomnia', is an acoustic pop genre they are attempting for the first time. They added that since the title 'Insomnia' refers to the inability to sleep, it is a song that can garner empathy when listened to during seasons like autumn.

The charm of 'Bottle Cap Curling', a fierce battle of wits between strategy and luck

The first official mission was 'Bottle Cap Curling'. The game involves landing a bottle cap in a target zone in the center of the table to earn points, with 1st place receiving 50 points, 2nd place 30 points, and 3rd place 10 points. Each member was given three opportunities.

As the game began, the members demonstrated tactical movements rather than simple displays of strength. Jung Sung-chan attempted to change the flow of the game by using a "roadblock" strategy to obstruct the opponents' paths. The members' emotions fluctuated with the movement of the bottle caps, heightening the tension. In particular, ANTON showed unexpected performance by successfully pushing a bottle cap into the target zone with the help of other members to earn 10 points.

On the other hand, the members could not hide their embarrassment when, contrary to expectations, the bottle caps overshot the target or drifted to unexpected places. With joking reactions such as "the skill is terrible" and opinions that more practice is needed, the scene turned into a fierce battleground where laughter and sighs intersected.

The competitive spirit of the 'Ulsan Cheetah' aiming for the 1 million won scholarship

The final goal of this MT is to claim a scholarship worth 1 million won in cash, which is awarded to one person who proves their strong physical abilities. The members expressed their ambitions and will to win. In particular, a member who showed competitive spirit by mentioning the nickname 'Ulsan Cheetah' revealed a specific plan to win the scholarship and eat Korean beef, stating, "Once a competition starts, I go until the end."
