Engaged couple Lee Kyu-han and Solbi shared their decision to marry during a recent mukbang video in Jinju, where they discussed a connection spanning 20 years. The pair highlighted mutual respect for their respective professions as the foundation for their relationship.

Actor Lee Kyu-han and Solbi shared their deep trust in one another and the reasons behind their decision to marry during their first "mukbang" as an engaged couple. In the video released through Solbi's YouTube channel "Solbi Is Back," the two visited a famous restaurant in Jinju to eat noodles while calmly discussing their long history and personal values.

From a 20-year connection to marriage

The connection between the two dates back to a private meeting 20 years ago. Lee Kyu-han recalled that when he first saw Solbi at the time, "her face was exceptionally pretty, so my eyes kept following her." However, due to his shy personality back then, they were unable to have private conversations, and even while working together in acting later on, it was difficult to find common ground as they worked in different spaces.

The decisive turning point came after appearing on a broadcast. Lee Kyu-han shared his serious feelings at the time, stating, "I was cautious because I was worried that becoming a couple on a show might interfere with each other's work," and "I wanted to keep knowing Solbi, but I worried we might become an uncomfortable pair." Later, Lee Kyu-han broke the ice by sending Solbi an apology. He sent it as "an apology for not choosing her during the final selection," to which Solbi responded, "That comment was so witty."

When asked about the specific reasons for deciding to marry, the two chose "respect" as their key theme. Solbi revealed she was moved by how deeply Lee Kyu-han respects her profession and tastes. In particular, the serious attitude Lee Kyu-han showed during a painting class was decisive.

Regarding Solbi's personality, Lee Kyu-han confessed, "I am originally a person who is sensitive to being instructed, ordered, or criticized. But when I am with Solbi, I feel no discomfort even if I give instructions as naturally as breathing. I thought, 'I could marry this person.'" Solbi added that she gained certainty through Lee Kyu-han's consideration in respecting her work.

Lee Kyu-han also supports Solbi's artistic side in daily life. He shared that while helping with housework, he held Solbi's hands and said, "Use your hands only for painting. These precious hands." Solbi expressed her trust in Lee Kyu-han, saying, "Rather than a man who promises to never let a single drop of water touch my hands for the rest of my life, I wanted to spend my life loving someone who recognizes the value of my hands and to continue doing the work I love."

The couple's first mukbang video quickly gathered attention immediately after its release. Solbi mentioned that the channel's subscribers have now exceeded 3.36 million and is receiving a hot response with thousands of comments. Lee Kyu-han mentioned the fun of YouTube, stating, "I even started YouTube to get to know Solbi better."

Lee Kyu-han made a joking promise regarding the Silver Button, which can be received upon reaching 100,000 subscribers, saying, "When I receive the Silver Button, I will buy a leather jacket." The two concluded their conversation with a commitment to continue creating healthy and beautiful content.
