The video, released through a vlog uploaded by Ji Yeong-il, captures the rehearsal process for the 103.5MHz SBS Love FM "Life Is an Audition TOP5" concert. In the video, Ji Yeong-il heads to Noeul Theater in Daehangno for rehearsals held the day before the performance, reflecting on his past as an idol and the background of his current career as a trot singer.

“From idol days to Daehangno”... Ji Yeong-il reflects on the past

Upon arriving in Daehangno and heading to the venue, Ji Yeong-il recalled memories from six to seven years ago. He mentioned that during his early 20s, he frequently visited Daehangno to watch stage plays while dreaming of becoming a singer. He specifically reminisced about the period during the COVID-19 pandemic when his activities as an idol became difficult, leading him to visit Daehangno to audition for musicals and stage plays, noting how special it feels to return to the area now to perform as a trot singer.

Ji Yeong-il placed special significance on this performance, as it is the first concert where he is participating as a main performer in Korea. "This is the first time I've entered trot as a main performer," he stated, adding that since this is the first time in his life he is performing a concert as a main artist in Korea, he wanted to capture the moment on video.

“Flowers bloom late”... Bond with members and diet updates

The members of "Life Is an Audition TOP5" were present at the rehearsal site. Ji Yeong-il shared the atmosphere of the venue as he toured the stage, costume room, and hair and makeup room with the other members. During the rehearsal process, the members showed a strong bond, encouraging one another's skills. In particular, Ji Yeong-il and Jaeha, who possesses excellent singing skills, boosted the atmosphere by praising each other's vocal abilities. Ji Yeong-il remarked that he realized Jaeha's vocal talent once again, while Jaeha responded by mentioning Ji Yeong-il's dancing and singing skills.

His thorough self-management leading up to the performance also drew attention. Ji Yeong-il underwent a diet for his stage performance, and the members expressed surprise at his changed physique. Ji Yeong-il stated he dieted to show his results the following day, while the members compared his physical condition to a torso in their amazement.

"It seems we are late bloomers. It feels like the flowers are starting to bloom just as I reach my forties," Ji Yeong-il said, emphasizing that this performance is not an end but a process for further growth. After a long rehearsal that lasted from 4:00 PM until 10:00 PM, the cast concluded their schedule by resting for the main performance the next day.
