Actress Hwang Bo-ra has made her final move toward conceiving her second child. In a video released on her personal YouTube channel 'Bo-ra Variety' on the 23rd, Hwang Bo-ra documented her journey to a specialized infertility oriental medicine clinic located in Gyeongju to conceive her second child.
"The Last Move" Hwang Bo-ra Visits Gyeongju Infertility Clinic
In the video, Hwang Bo-ra reminisced about the past, saying, "I remember taking the first dawn train to Gyeongju with my husband four years ago to have my first child, Woo-in." She emphasized that this visit is more than just a medical consultation; it is her final challenge. Currently, Hwang Bo-ra has one embryo frozen, and she expressed her determination to pour all her remaining strength into this visit.
Feeling Anxious After News from Close Friend Kim Ji-min... "If it doesn't happen this year, I'll give up"
The background behind her rushing to prepare for pregnancy was the news regarding her close colleague and comedian, Kim Ji-min. Hwang Bo-ra confessed her honest feelings, saying, "I heard Kim Ji-min recently attempted implantation using PGT (Preimplantation Genetic Testing). Since Ji-min also successfully implanted, I feel rushed." While expressing her desire to have a second child to raise together with Kim Ji-min, she also revealed her realistic concerns. Hwang Bo-ra shared her firm decision, stating, "I am not in a position to raise a child right now. I will try one more time until this year, and if it doesn't work, I plan to give up."
Previously, Kim Ji-min had mentioned her pregnancy plans while appearing on the YouTube channel 'Hwang Bo-ra Variety.' At that time, Kim Ji-min stated that her ovarian function test results were good, at the level of a 27-year-old, and expressed her intention to try for natural pregnancy rather than IVF, while empathizing with Hwang Bo-ra's difficult situation.
Diagnosis of Decreased Physical Strength and Decision on Herbal Medicine Prescription
As a result of the consultation at the Gyeongju clinic, Hwang Bo-ra's health condition was found to be somewhat weaker than four years ago. After checking her pulse, the attending oriental medicine doctor diagnosed her, saying, "Your physical strength has significantly decreased compared to four years ago." Consequently, Hwang Bo-ra decided to receive a prescription of herbal medicine to improve her physical strength and ovarian function. Although she hesitated due to past experiences of suffering from skin troubles when taking herbal medicine, she decided to try again, recalling the time it was effective. Hwang Bo-ra said, "This is my last trump card. I plan to do everything I can, including getting injections and taking medicine."
Continued Will to Challenge Despite Parenting Concerns
During the pregnancy preparation process, the psychological burden caused by parenting her first son, Woo-in, was also revealed. While heading to Gyeongju, she received a call from Woo-in's daycare teacher saying that the child has not been getting along well with friends recently. While expressing deep concern about Woo-in's condition, Hwang Bo-ra showed her determination to take good energy and try one last time.
