RESCENE to make a comeback on July 8th with a remake of KARA's 'Pretty Girl'
RESCENE, currently experiencing a chart resurgence, is making a comeback with a remake single of Kara's 'Pretty Girl' and is expanding their activities by being appointed as honorary tourism ambassadors for Gyeongju City.
Confirmed Comeback on July 8, Following the Chart Surge of 'LOVE ATTACK'
The group RESCENE is embarking on full-scale comeback activities, leveraging the upward momentum of their music chart resurgence. RESCENE will release the remake single 'Pretty Girl' on July 8 at 6 PM.
This new release is a project that reinterprets the hit song by the group KARA with RESCENE's unique color. RESCENE garnered attention as the title track 'LOVE ATTACK' from their first mini-album 'SCENEDROME', released in August 2024, surged on the music charts about two years after its release. Having secured public recognition, they will continue their activities through this remake single.
Individual Concept Photos Featuring a Pink Mood Released
Ahead of their comeback, RESCENE released individual concept photos for each member through their official SNS channels on the 29th. The five members—Wonhee, Liv, Minami, May, and Jena—showcased diverse charms against a vibrant pink-toned background.
The members visualized the team's unique bright and kitschy energy using trendy props such as star-shaped hairpins and glamorous nail art. By adding dreamy staging with cushions and playful gestures, they captured RESCENE's signature bright and free-spirited image. These photos foreshadow the lovely visual transformation they will display in the new song 'Pretty Girl'.
Appointed as Gyeongju Tourism Ambassadors, Led by Member Jena from Gyeongju
Beyond their musical activities, RESCENE is expanding its connection with local communities. On the 29th, Gyeongju City selected RESCENE as its tourism ambassadors. A major factor is that member Jena is originally from Gyeongju. Jena has shown her affection for her hometown, even earning the nickname 'Silla Princess' among fans by featuring dialect-based content on member Wonhee's YouTube channel.
Considering the global influence of K-pop, Gyeongju City selected RESCENE as ambassadors who can approach the younger generation and international tourists in a friendly manner. Ju Nak-young, the Mayor of Gyeongju, stated, "It is meaningful to work with RESCENE, which includes Jena, a member from Gyeongju." RESCENE will contribute to strengthening the city's brand by participating in promotional content that introduces Gyeongju's historical and cultural heritage, festivals, and tourist attractions.
Original Path Continued Since 2024 Debut
After appearing in the music industry with their 2024 debut single 'Re:Scene', RESCENE expanded their musical spectrum through their first mini-album 'SCENEDROME'. Having increased public recognition through the recent chart resurgence of 'LOVE ATTACK', RESCENE is set to showcase new charms through this remake of KARA's song.
