Trendz (Habit, Leon, Yunwoo, Cho Jung-kook, Lael, Eunil, Jeong Ye-chan), an idol group under Global H Media, will release their sixth single album 'On My Knees' on the 8th. Released in the middle of summer, this album features a refreshing and cool sound at its forefront.

The title track 'On My Knees' maintains musical continuity as the same team of composers who created Trendz's representative song 'My Way' participated again. Member Yunwoo expressed confidence, saying, "It's a wonderful song that will make you turn around and think, 'Wait, what is this song?' when you hear it passing by." It is characterized by a non-stop, driving composition throughout its 3-minute and 28-second running time.

Leon emphasized the unexpected charm of this track. He stated, "While maintaining an emotional and overwhelming atmosphere, the song and choreography are composed to sprint without pause," adding that they focused on capturing both the joy of listening and the fun of stage performance. Member Lael added, "We captured the sensibility of 2nd and 3rd generation K-pop while infusing it with Trendz's unique color."

Musical identity infused with members' concerns and growth

This album is a result that proves Trendz's musical direction. Member Eunil shared his mindset for this promotion, saying, "We prepared with the desperate heart that this could be our last." Just like the lyrics 'I must run to reach you,' they did their best to convey their sincerity toward their fans.

Leon, who has led the team's performance, also focused on strengthening his vocal capabilities starting with this promotion. He confessed, "As a main dancer, I have invested a lot of time in choreography, but now I felt the need to grow as a vocalist as well," and noted that he is improving his vocal skills with the help of the members.

Member Lael's musical involvement is also prominent. While the title track was produced externally by gathering the members' opinions, the B-side track 'Kart Racer' was directly completed by Lael, who participated in the entire process of producing and songwriting with the members. Additionally, Lael participated in the lyrics for 'Crime,' which was included as a remastered track, enhancing the team's musical perfection.

During their recent European tour, Trendz had intense discussions about the team's identity. Eunil revealed that the members gathered every night during the tour to talk daily about what they could show and what fans expected from them.

In this process, the team concluded that rather than confining themselves to a single answer, they should do their best in everything they can do. These reflections led through 'Kart Racer' and 'Crime' to the title track 'On My Knees.' Habit said, "As soon as I heard the song for the first time, I felt it was K-pop itself," and expressed hope that the new song, which connects to their existing songs 'New Dayz' and 'My Way' while containing emotional and overwhelming willpower, would be easily accessible to the public.
