Byun Yo-han and Noh Jae-won, from best friends to enemies… 'Tazza 4' to be released in September for Chuseok
The movie 'Tazza: Song of Beelzebub' has confirmed its release for the Chuseok holiday in September. Byun Yo-han and Noh Jae-won will star in a revenge drama about two men who turn from best friends into enemies.
A Brutal Showdown Between Two Men with the Same Name
The film 'Tazza: Song of Beelzebub' is set to hit theaters during the Chuseok holiday this September. Distributor CJ ENM announced on the 9th that 'Tazza: Song of Beelzebub' has confirmed its release for the September Chuseok period.
This work is based on the final installment of the 'Tazza' comic book series by author Huh Young-man. It is a crime film about Jang Tae-young (played by Byun Yo-han), who thought he had everything through the online casino business, and his best friend Park Tae-young (played by No Jae-won), who took everything from him, reuniting on the global gambling stage for a decisive match of revenge.
The released teaser poster captures the confrontation between two characters who share the same name but live different fates. The copy "The friend I trusted most became the most brutal hand" hints at the relationship between the two.
The rival trailer concisely shows the process of how the two former best friends end up pointing their blades at each other. The core of the film is the confrontation between Jang Tae-young, who competes with luck, and Park Tae-young, who rose to the top through skill. In the trailer, Park Tae-young reveals extreme conflict with the line, "I can't understand a bastard who lives off luck."
The World of Poker Expanded to a Global Scale
While inheriting the identity of the series, it unfolds a new worldview centered around poker. The setting is a global gambling arena spanning Korea, Japan, and Vietnam.
Ayaka Miyoshi has been selected to play Kaneko, who designs the global gambling arena. International actors such as Hong Dao as Chairman Tao and Tsuyoshi Ihara as Sasaki have joined to complete the scale.
The lineup of major characters has also been solidified. Yoon Kyung-ho will appear as Jo Jung-hwan, whom Jang Tae-young meets in a moment of crisis, and Cho Woo-jin will appear as Kwak Dong-wook, a legendary gambler who passes on poker skills to Jang Tae-young. Moon Ji-hoon will also add strength to the film.
The History and Finale of the 'Tazza' Series
After the first film released in 2006 became a hit with 5.69 million viewers, the series continued with 'Tazza: The High Rollers' in 2014 and 'Tazza: One Eyed Jack' in 2019. This 'Tazza: Song of Beelzebub' is a film adaptation of the final installment of Huh Young-man's original comic series, marking the finale of the series.
In addition to the general rival trailer, the 'Rival Trailer (All-in Ver.)', which is available for viewers aged 19 and older after logging in, will be released on the official CJ ENM MOVIE YouTube channel and Naver TV.
