Project Group Formed Through 'Running Man' Connection Reunites After One Year

The mixed-gender project group 'Chungju Jissi,' formed by entertainer Ji Suk-jin and actress Ji Ye-eun, has reunited after one year. The two released their second digital single 'AQUA' through various online music sites at 6 PM on the 17th.

Their connection began on the SBS variety show 'Running Man.' Formed in June last year, Chungju Jissi drew public attention by presenting their first single 'Milkshake.' At that time, 'Milkshake' was produced by composer Ahn Young-min, written by guitarist Park Shin-won and Ju-eun from the girl group DIA, with rapper Wonstein participating as a featured artist. The choreography was handled by Vata, Ji Ye-eun's partner and choreographer.

Behind-the-scenes stories of the formation process were also revealed. Ji Suk-jin appeared on the content 'Na Young-seok's Bogle Bogle' on the YouTube channel 'Channel Full Moon' and directly shared the situation at the time. He said, "Ye-eun was the one who first suggested making a record to me." He added, "When Ye-eun spoke to me, I hesitated because I had to record and learn dances, but on the other hand, I thought it would be very rewarding if I pulled it off, so I said I would do it."

Ji Ye-eun also explained the reason for the formation on 'Just an Excuse' of the YouTube channel 'DdeunDdeun.' Mentioning that it was Jo Se-ho's 'Jo-nam-ji-dae' listening party, Ji Ye-eun said, "I thought Jo-nam-ji-dae would be fun, so I told (composer) Ahn Young-min oppa, 'It would be great if we made Chungju Jissi.' So, Young-min oppa immediately came up with the song."

'AQUA', a Refreshing Sound to Beat the Summer Heat

The new song 'AQUA' is a trendy pop sound genre that embodies the image of clear and transparent water. It is characterized by refreshing, driving guitar riffs and an addictive melody. The lyrics capture the sense of freedom, pure emotions, and moments of excitement felt amidst a busy daily life.

Ahead of the comeback, Ji Suk-jin sequentially released music video teasers through his social media. He left a post saying, "Chungju Jissi will be released on the 17th! #AQUA #PleaseGiveLotsOfLove." The chemistry between the two, shown during their previous 'Milkshake' activities, has led to even deeper teamwork and harmony in this new song.

First Stage to be Shown Through SBS 'Inkigayo' on the 19th

Chungju Jissi will begin full-scale activities simultaneously with the music release. They will showcase the performance of their new song 'AQUA' for the first time on the SBS 'Inkigayo' stage broadcasting on the 19th.
