The Wind to release 4th mini album on the 29th, all tracks produced by Block B's Park Kyung
The Wind will release their 4th mini album, 'Second Wind : S#00', at 6 PM on the 29th. Block B's Park Kyung took charge of producing all tracks, showcasing a 'Refreshing Hip' concept.
The group The Wind is returning with new music after a hiatus of one year and two months. Their agency, Fangstar Entertainment, announced that The Wind will release their fourth mini-album, 'Second Wind : S#00', on the 29th at 6 PM through various music streaming platforms. This release marks their comeback following the digital single 'Hello Tomorrow' released last May.
The album centers on the theme of finding renewed strength in moments of exhaustion and taking a fresh breath to reach even greater heights. Block B's Park Kyung spearheaded the musical evolution of the album, serving as the lyricist, composer, and producer for all tracks, including the title track 'Party Like A Rock Star'. The group is introducing a new identity called 'Refreshing Hip', which adds a free-spirited and confident mood to their existing refreshing image.
The Musical Composition of 'Refreshing Hip' Designed by Park Kyung
The title track, 'Party Like A Rock Star', is a pop-rock track that harmonizes funky guitar riffs with EDM-style lead synths. Producer Park Kyung has poured the expertise he built through works such as Block B's 'YESTERDAY' and the album tracks 'When, Where, What, and How' and 'Walkin' in the Rain' into every song on this album. He personally directed the entire album to refine The Wind's unique color.
In the album title 'Second Wind : S#00', the subtitle 'S#00' is an origin code signifying a 'level up' rather than a simple restart. It represents the beginning of a new chapter as they move toward higher ground. On the 25th, the group gave a preview of this comeback by performing the track 'Back and Forth' for the first time at the Caribbean Bay 'Music Pool Party'. They have expanded their musical spectrum by adding an energetic atmosphere while maintaining their signature refreshing sensibility.
A New Collaborative System Established with Fangstar Entertainment
This comeback is the first result of the collaboration between The Wind and Fangstar Entertainment. Having recently established a new collaborative system, Fangstar Entertainment is implementing changes across all group activities, including management, marketing, and global promotions. Their promotional methods have also diverged from previous strategies, utilizing new teasing tactics such as producing a promotion scheduler with a movie ticket concept and releasing content with a playful, B-movie aesthetic.
The music video teaser, released on the 27th via their official YouTube channel, captures this free-spirited mood. Accompanied by the phrase 'A Day in the Life of The Wind', the video features witty scenes of the members sprinting through hallways or pushing mops. An official from the agency stated, "The Wind, who has grown steadily since their debut, is determined to move beyond their existing refreshing image and showcase a more free-spirited and confident 'Refreshing Hip' identity through this album."
The Wind will hold a fan showcase at Ilchi Art Hall in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, at 8 PM on the 29th, the day of the album release.
