SEVENUS Heejae promotes debut solo track 'Leap' amid nerves ahead of Sinchon busking performance

Heejae of SEVENUS expressed his nervousness as he prepared for a busking performance in Sinchon to celebrate the release of his first solo single, "Leap." Ahead of the outdoor performance, Heejae could not hide his trembling heart, worrying about potential lyrical or pitch mistakes. As this busking session marks the first time he will perform his debut solo track, "Leap," live for an audience, he showed a deep affection for the song along with a profound sense of responsibility.

Stepping out onto the streets of Sinchon, Heejae shared his honest feelings. He expressed the pressure of having to fill the stage alone with more than seven songs during this busking session. While he had performed alongside his fellow members during previous activities, the tension was higher this time as he had to lead the stage solo. Regarding his new song "Leap," which he helped write, Heejae expressed his hope that many people would listen and offer their support, having put immense effort into the recording and preparation.

The sweltering weather and the fact that it was a holiday added to his anxiety. While worrying whether the heat would deter the audience, Heejae vowed to sing his heart out, fueled by the support of his fans, "Hiara," and passing pedestrians. Although he appeared more subdued than usual due to being unfamiliar with the outdoor environment, he approached the stage with a serious attitude, knowing it marks the beginning of his first solo activities.

Promoting on the ground by handing out flyers, "Being an idol is truly hard"

Before the busking officially began, Heejae took to the streets to actively promote his new song. Emphasizing the need for proactive promotion, he remarked, "If you just stand still, no one will notice you." He dedicated himself to promotional activities, handing out prepared flyers to inform citizens about the busking event. However, as the promotion proved more difficult than expected, he voiced his struggles, noting, "I think being an idol is really tough."

While he encouraged citizens to join the busking by distributing flyers in Sinchon, Heejae faced psychological difficulties when the public response was not as enthusiastic as expected. Showing a human side, he admitted to feeling "the damage accumulating" and becoming "discouraged" when faced with citizens declining his flyers. Nevertheless, Heejae's hands-on efforts to ensure a successful start for his first solo track demonstrated his earnest desire for his debut stage.
