S.Coups and Mingyu deliver a poignant final performance to wrap up CxM activities

CxM, the unit formed by S.Coups and Mingyu, is bringing its activities to a close. Behind-the-scenes footage of their preparations and performances at the recent 'AsiaTop Music Festival' has captured the attention of fans.

During practice sessions leading up to the performance, S.Coups shared his honest feelings regarding health management. He revealed his concerns over the slow pace of weight loss, despite quitting alcohol, incorporating daily cardio, and maintaining a strict diet. He showed a human side, expressing frustration that while his physique is improving through exercise, he hasn't been able to lose the fat in his cheeks.

Mingyu's Solo Stage and the Team's Perfect Synergy

The preparation process for Mingyu's solo track, 'Shake It Off,' also drew significant interest during this performance. Mingyu meticulously checked his movement paths toward the extended stage to finalize the stage composition. He focused on delivering a high-quality performance, carefully inspecting everything from the stage production using lift devices to the timing of the water effects. During practice, he also showcased a close bond with his juniors, TWS, by learning choreography from them and filming challenges together.

S.Coups and Mingyu managed a demanding schedule as they approach their 11th debut anniversary. Despite a relentless itinerary including a visit to Japan, filming for 'GOING SEVENTEEN,' and a trip to Everland, the two supported each other through their practice sessions. Mingyu also looked after the atmosphere on set, showing thoughtful consideration by wiping camera lenses fogged by humidity.

"Not an end, but a brief pause" — A Heartfelt Farewell

S.Coups reminisced about the nervousness he felt when the S.Coups x Mingyu album was first introduced. He mentioned the jitters of his first music show appearance and explained how he gradually adapted through various tours. He added that he feels a deep sense of both regret and gratitude, as this current S.Coups x Mingyu stage schedule is expected to be their last.

When CxM finally took the stage, they enjoyed the performance by singing 'Young again' with their fans. S.Coups shared his reflections, stating that the past year—from preparing the CxM album to the present—has been a joyful and happy journey. He noted that he drew a great deal of positive energy from Mingyu and shared his future plans to focus on working on solo tracks after their activities conclude. The two promised to return, emphasizing that the end of CxM is not a final conclusion, but merely a brief pause.
