"I am not afraid" TEMPEST HANBIN, from recording his first digital single to music video filming

A behind-the-scenes video capturing the entire process of TEMPEST member HANBIN preparing for his first solo digital single 'No Fear' has been released. The released video contains the preparation process toward his solo debut, from work in the recording studio to choreography composition and the music video filming site.

"A song that resembles my story"... The first step of a solo starting in the recording studio

The early part of the video depicts HANBIN's first solo recording scene. During the recording process, HANBIN showed himself focusing on grasping the overall flow of the song. While he previously recorded focusing mainly on his own parts during team activities, this solo shows a growth process where he learns that he must recognize and control the entire flow of the song, continuing from the Verse to the Pre-chorus and the Hook.

Regarding the reason for choosing the title 'No Fear' for this song, HANBIN stated, "From the title to choosing this song, it is just like me," adding, "With the mindset of starting over from when I first came to South Korea alone on a plane to start trainee life, I chose this song with a heart that says I am not afraid." He emphasized that this work is a new challenge, expressing his attachment to the song.

During the recording process, HANBIN also shared his concerns regarding the high-note parts. To properly handle the high-note parts, he prepared by trying various methods, such as practicing by mixing falsetto, falsetto mix, and chest voice. Additionally, he showed attention to detailed vocal expressions, such as raising the pitch of the riff to enhance the atmosphere of the song.

Performance reflecting 100% of the choreography... Even ideas to incorporate Vietnam culture

In terms of performance composition, the artist's proactive participation was prominent. According to the conversation with the production staff and choreographer in the video, the choreography for this album was planned so that 100% of HANBIN's opinions could be reflected. HANBIN agonized over the choreography and composition to the point of losing sleep every night, going through a process of delivering ideas and coordinating them by explaining them to the production staff.

In particular, HANBIN even proposed specific ideas to melt his identity into the choreography movements. In the video, HANBIN suggested a way to incorporate Vietnam culture instead of the existing coffee serving concept, saying, "Since I am Vietnamese anyway, wouldn't it be more fun to give a transition in the choreography with a feeling of serving Vietnamese culture or food?" He also showed efforts to increase the perfection of the performance by emphasizing harmony with the dancers. HANBIN expressed his joy at working with the dancers he usually sees on stage, calling it a fateful meeting.

Music video filming site... "Solo debut to be presented with an unfamiliar appearance"

At the music video filming site, the hardships and excitement of being a solo artist, which are different from existing team activities, intersected. HANBIN mentioned the tension he felt while filming alone, saying, "It is different from filming a music video as a team." Preparing new hairstyles and outfits, he shared his thoughts, saying, "It is a version of myself that I am not yet accustomed to, but I will be making my solo debut with a new look." In particular, he sought change by presenting a short hairstyle and new hair styling that he had not attempted before for this filming.

During the filming process, scenes were captured where laughter was induced as situations where he had to maintain a serious expression met funny situations on set. HANBIN mentioned moments when it was difficult to hold back laughter due to the fun provided by the situation while seriously singing.
