Two productions from CJ ENM studios earn International Emmy® Awards nominations
A THOUSAND BLOWS and HYPER KNIFE have been nominated in separate categories at the 54th International Emmy® Awards. Studios within CJ ENM’s international and domestic network participated in producing the two dramas.
Two dramas produced with the involvement of studios within CJ ENM’s domestic and international network have earned nominations at the 54th International Emmy® Awards: A THOUSAND BLOWS in Drama Series and HYPER KNIFE in TV Movie/Mini-Series.
The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony in New York, United States, on November 23.
A THOUSAND BLOWS was co-produced by The Story Collective, a label under CJ ENM’s U.S. subsidiary FIFTH SEASON. Set amid the harsh working-class world and criminal underworld of London’s East End in the 1880s, the drama follows two friends from Jamaica who enter the dangerous world of bare-knuckle boxing. Their struggle for survival unfolds alongside intrigue and conflict.
CJ ENM STUDIOS participated in co-producing HYPER KNIFE, a medical thriller starring Park Eun-bin and Sul Kyung Gu. It centers on Se-ok, once a promising medical prodigy, whose reunion with Deok-hui, the mentor responsible for her downfall, sets off an intense confrontation.
Park Eun-bin and Sul Kyung Gu anchor the tightly plotted drama, which received favorable reviews upon its release.
The International Emmy® Awards recognize television programs produced outside the United States for the highest standards of artistic achievement. Amid fierce competition among major global platforms this year, the nominated productions from CJ ENM-affiliated studios represent the United Kingdom and South Korea in major categories.
CJ ENM described the nominations as evidence that its global network of studios, built to serve domestic and international markets, is delivering tangible creative results in local markets. The company presented the recognition as a demonstration of its international development and production capabilities and progress toward becoming a global intellectual property powerhouse through its multi-studio structure.
“These International Emmy® Awards nominations show that the global studio network CJ ENM has built on multiple fronts is delivering tangible results in local markets at home and abroad,” a CJ ENM representative said. “We will continue to focus on producing distinctive intellectual property that can attract viewers worldwide.”
CJ ENM also hosted the 2026 International Emmy® Awards semifinal judging in Seoul, marking its second consecutive year hosting the judging and continuing its role as a bridge between cultures globally.
