Members of the group ZEROBASEONE have transformed into researchers for "Seafood Lab" to explore the charms of Korean seafood. A video released by M2 captures the members participating in quizzes and games involving various seafood recipes as part of the K-Seafood campaign conducted with the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries.

"Olive flounder pairs perfectly with perilla leaves"... Quiz battle tests seafood knowledge

Participating as intern researchers, the members tested their knowledge of Korean seafood under the guidance of Director Nam Sung-Hoon (chef). The members showed a high level of interest in seafood, mentioning their preferences for abalone, blackthroat seaperch, blue crab, large shrimp, shrimp, and shellfish. In particular, they demonstrated their preparedness by sharing background knowledge regarding the successful aquaculture of olive flounder.

The first hurdle was the "Seafood Rhythm Game," which utilized key campaign ingredients such as olive flounder, oysters, abalone, and seaweed. The members showed tension under the rules requiring them to read words quickly, with GUNWOOK achieving the fastest success to take the first points.

In the following quiz, questions were asked regarding recipes that have recently become popular on social media. When asked about trending olive flounder combinations, the members offered various answers, including mulhoe and pasta. Director Nam Sung-Hoon revealed the correct answer as "olive flounder with perilla leaves," explaining that it is a delicacy eaten with shredded perilla leaves and perilla oil.

During the "Olive Flounder Sketch Contest," where members drew the appearance of olive flounder, their whimsical imaginations were revealed. MATTHEW presented a hyper-realistic drawing that even depicted perilla oil, while TAERAE drew a picture reminiscent of a shark, drawing laughter. Director Nam selected MATTHEW as the winner of the sketch contest for his outstanding artistry and emphasis. Tasting the olive flounder with perilla leaves and perilla oil provided as the prize, MATTHEW shared his reaction, saying, "I like perilla oil, and the combination with kimchi is incredibly delicious; I think it could also be eaten with noodles."

The infinite transformation of seaweed leads to a "crunchiness" showdown

A second round was held with the theme of seaweed, a key item in seafood exports. In a game where participants had to name five foods containing seaweed within a time limit, the members competed by calling out kimbap, seaweed flakes, seaweed chips, seaweed sushi, and seasoned seaweed in turn. During this process, the members confirmed the versatility of seaweed by mentioning various menus such as seaweed sushi and seasoned seaweed. TAERAE earned points by providing the correct answers in this round.

The final game, utilizing the texture of seaweed, led to a "Seaweed Chips Sound Contest." The rules dictated that the person who produced the loudest crunchy sound while eating seaweed chips would win, and tension was maintained to prevent cheating by making sounds with their mouths. The members continued their competition to determine the top researcher of the lab by proving the unique texture of the seaweed chips through sound.
