AI predicts 214 years to afford Hannam-dong apartment on 3 million won salary
An artificial intelligence simulation revealed that an individual earning 3 million won per month would need 214 years to afford an apartment in Hannam-dong. The calculation was part of a real estate simulation featured in a pre-release clip of the MBC entertainment program "Where Is My Home."

During a real estate simulation on the MBC program "Where Is My Home," an AI calculated that it would take 214 years to afford an apartment in Hannam-dong if based on a monthly salary of 3 million won. The calculation followed a request to recalculate after the cast members adjusted their initial 5 million won example to their actual earnings.
A calculation has revealed that it would take 214 years to move into an apartment in Hannam-dong based on a monthly salary of 3 million won. This figure emerged during a process of testing the possibility of entering the real estate market using artificial intelligence (AI).
In a pre-release video for the MBC entertainment program "Where Is My Home," the cast members conducted a real estate field trip simulation using AI, expressing their desire to live in Hannam-dong. The cast noted the location's advantages, mentioning that the area features forests in the back and views of the Han River in the front.

AI calculates 214 years to enter Hannam-dong
The conversation with the AI, aimed at the goal of moving into a Hannam-dong apartment, reflected realistic economic indicators. While the cast initially used a 5 million won monthly salary as an example, they requested a recalculation after revealing their actual monthly salary is 3 million won. In response, the AI, while premising that the amount of investment funds accumulated to date would be important, ultimately calculated that it would take 214 years to move into an apartment in Hannam-dong.
Upon receiving the AI's answer, the cast expressed surprise at the much longer period than expected. In the video, reactions included comments that the AI's tone was strange or stiff, while others noted that the AI's method of answering during the calculation process felt like conversing with an actual real estate expert.

Real estate simulation where Saju meets AI
This simulation was conducted in a form that combined the personal characteristics of the cast members with AI technology. One cast member explained their preference for the environment of Hannam-dong, where forests and rivers harmonize, stating that their Saju (traditional fortune telling) possesses the "Daesanimsu" element of wood (木).
The cast also noted that the AI being used in the video is a paid version. The figures presented by the AI during the calculation process serve as a stark numerical demonstration of the high barriers to entry in the symbolic area of Hannam-dong.
