JYP Entertainment has donated 300 million KRW to World Vision to aid in the recovery efforts from the strong earthquake in Venezuela. The funds will be used for food, daily necessities, and psychological support for children.
300 Million Won Urgently Allocated for Venezuela Earthquake Recovery
JYP Entertainment has stepped up with emergency relief by donating 300 million won to help local residents and children suffering from the powerful earthquake in Venezuela. World Vision, an international relief and development NGO, has received the 300 million won donation from JYP Entertainment for emergency relief following the earthquake in Venezuela.
This donation was decided to support the damage caused by the magnitude 7.2 and 7.5 earthquakes that struck the western region of Moron on the northern Caribbean coast of Venezuela on the 24th (local time). The damage is severe, with buildings collapsing and thousands of people displaced by the earthquakes. The death toll has reached 235, with approximately 4,300 injured. Considering the gravity of the local situation, World Vision has declared 'Category 3,' the highest level of emergency relief.
Tailored Relief from Food to Psychological Therapy
The donated 300 million won will be focused on emergency relief activities for children and residents affected by the strong earthquake. Specifically, the funds will be used for food and daily necessities for affected residents, water and sanitation support to provide clean water, and psychological and emotional support programs for children experiencing disaster trauma. World Vision plans to use this donation to help residents in the affected areas recover their daily lives.
"Hoping to be a small source of strength for those who lost their homes"
JYP Entertainment conveyed a message wishing for the swift stabilization of the affected areas. The company stated, "We hope to be a small source of strength for the children and residents who have lost their homes due to this unexpected disaster," and added, "We sincerely pray that the affected areas regain stability as soon as possible and that everyone can safely recover their daily lives."
