A Toned Physique and Confident Appearance Built Through Boxing
Actor Elliot Page shared updates on his healthy lifestyle along with his transformed appearance following gender-affirming surgery. On the 29th (local time), Page posted photos and videos on his social media showing him dedicated to training at a boxing gym in New York. In the released photos, a shirtless Page showed his passion for exercise, revealing defined abs and a toned upper body. Wearing red boxing shorts, he was seen focusing on mitt work and guard practice with his coach.
He remarked of his training partner, boxing coach Nolan Hanson, "It was an incredibly big stroke of luck to be able to train with Coach Nolan." He added that Nolan is a wonderful mentor who not only breaks down complex movements with ease but also provides deep guidance on the strategic understanding and psychological aspects of boxing.
Facing His 'True Self' After Mastectomy
Previously, Page posted a photo on his Instagram with the caption, "A newly born transgender man's first trunks swimsuit." The photo shows him enjoying sunbathing in burgundy swim trunks against the backdrop of an outdoor swimming pool. This drew attention as it was his first time revealing his upper body since announcing his mastectomy.
He proudly displayed the surgical scars remaining on his chest. Page confessed to the struggles he faced every summer due to gender dysphoria in the past. "Dysphoria was especially bad in the summer," he said, explaining in detail the discomfort he felt when wearing tops before the surgery. In contrast, he expressed satisfaction, saying, "It feels so good to soak up the sun," and expressed his happiness by adding the hashtag #joy to the post.
From Coming Out to Life-Changing Surgery
Elliot Page's identity transition has been a continuous process over the past few years. He came out in 2014, stating his gender identity is male, and in December 2020, he formalized his transition from female to male and changed his name to 'Elliot Page.' Later, in March 2021, he announced he had undergone a mastectomy, confessing that the surgery "completely changed my life."
In a recent interview with Oprah Winfrey on Apple TV+'s 'Oprah Conversations,' he said, "I feel like I've finally found my true self. It's a truly beautiful and special thing." He continued, "The most important thing is that I can finally just exist here as myself," adding, "For the first time in my life, I feel like myself."
