Timothée Chalamet's 26-Award Legend, 'Marty Supreme' to Screen at Dolby Cinema

'Marty Supreme', nominated in 9 categories at the 98th Academy Awards, is coming to Megabox Dolby Cinema. Currently screening since July 1st, the film tells the story of Marty Mouser, who embarks on a journey to reach the pinnacle of his field while pursuing his dreams.

Lead actor Timothée Chalamet has achieved a record of 26 Best Actor wins at major award ceremonies worldwide through this work.

The fast-paced table tennis scenes in the film are brought to life with the colors and clarity of Dolby Vision. Dolby Atmos delivers the sound of the ball moving back and forth and the energy of the venue through immersive, three-dimensional sound.

Megabox will present 'Marty Supreme', 'Moana', and 'Hope' across 14 theaters nationwide, including Dolby Cinema and Dolby Vision+Atmos special theaters. Dolby Vision is an HDR video technology that realizes billions of colors, and Dolby Atmos is a next-generation immersive audio technology that delivers sound from all directions.

Disney Live-Action 'Moana' and Director Na Hong-jin's New Film 'Hope'

The Disney live-action film 'Moana', released on the 8th, meets audiences at Dolby Cinema. This is a live-action adaptation of the same-named animation that recorded approximately $1.7 billion in global box office revenue. It depicts an ocean adventure where Moana, the girl chosen by the sea, heads into the unknown ocean with the legendary hero Maui to save a cursed island.

The endless ocean and natural landscapes are realized through the color and contrast expression of Dolby Vision. The immersive sound of Dolby Atmos, blending the sound of waves, wind, and music, will be screened.

On the 15th, director Na Hong-jin's new film 'Hope', invited to the competition section of the 79th Cannes International Film Festival, will be released. The story follows Beom-seok, the head of the Hopo Port branch near the Demilitarized Zone, after he hears news of a tiger appearing in the village. The chase against an unknown entity will be screened with the visual beauty of Dolby Vision and the action sound of Dolby Atmos.

Current Status of Dolby Cinema Operations in Korea

Dolby Cinema currently operates more than 290 locations in 15 countries worldwide.

In Korea, starting with the Megabox Coex branch in July 2020, 8 Dolby Cinema locations are operating nationwide. Special theaters applying Dolby's next-generation integrated solution, Dolby Vision+Atmos, are operating in 6 locations. In June 2025, the first Dolby Vision+Atmos theater in Asia and Korea will open at the Guui Eastpole branch.
