The animated film 'David,' which follows the journey of an ordinary shepherd boy who defeats the giant Goliath and faces his destiny as a king, was released in theaters nationwide on the 10th. The work begins with a mother's song and captures David's life as he undergoes a struggle against the giant Goliath, whom the world feared, and eventually becomes a king.

The story begins with young David receiving news of his destiny to become king from the prophet Samuel. Before he can even fully grasp the weight of his fate, David is thrown into the reality of war. His victory in defeating Goliath with a single stone makes him a hero, but it also triggers the wrath of King Saul. The core of this work lies in how David confronts his destiny amidst the threats that follow his moment of triumph.

Moving beyond a simple record of victory, the film visually unfolds the weight of destiny that an individual must bear. With a running time of 109 minutes and a rating for all ages, the film meets audiences in theaters nationwide starting from its release on the 10th.

OST 'Your Place in the Picture' sung by Cha Ji-yeon, carrying a message of growth

Along with the release, the OST music video and tapestry-concept stills, which maximize the film's emotional depth, have been unveiled. The OST 'Your Place in the Picture (Tapestry),' performed by musical actress Cha Ji-yeon, conveys the message of the work. The song sings of the anxious inner self of David after being chosen by the prophet Samuel and meeting King Saul, and the love of his mother, Nirabet, who comforts her son.

The lyrics include phrases such as "There is a reason for the colors in your story" and "We are part of a larger picture," indicating that the fears and wanderings David experiences are part of the process of growth. The music video features David's youngest sister, Zeruah, and his pet sheep, Tally.

The released tapestry-concept stills realize the scene after the confrontation with Goliath like a piece of tapestry. Just as threads of different colors come together to complete an exquisite picture, it visualizes the meaning that David's choices and growth complete one grand journey.

From Park Bo-gum to Si Young-jun: A Splendid Domestic Dubbing Lineup

This work has garnered attention for the voice cast prepared for its domestic release. Actor Park Bo-gum provided the voice for the lead role, David. Park expresses the innocence of young David and the anguish of growing into a king through his voice.

The dubbing lineup includes veteran actor Jang Kwang, as well as talented musical performers Cha Ji-yeon, Song Jun-seok, and Si Young-jun, who breathed life into the characters. Cha Ji-yeon took on the role of David's mother, Nirabet, while also participating in the OST performance.
