'Odyssey' Ticketing War Paralyzes Servers, Yongsan IMAX Already Sold Out

Director Christopher Nolan's new film 'Odyssey' is shaking up theaters even before its release. On the 10th at 10:00 AM, as soon as reservations for some screening sessions opened, the CGV website and application experienced connection delays. A message stating 'Waiting for simultaneous users' appeared on the reservation window.

A ticketing frenzy occurred as prospective audiences flocked all at once. In particular, the CGV Yongsan IPARK Mall IMAX theater proved the intense heat immediately after reservations opened. All seats, excluding disabled seating, for the first and second screenings on the opening day were sold out. The 3rd to 5th screenings also recorded sell-outs for all seats except for rows A to C.

As of 5:40 PM on the 10th, 'Odyssey' ranked 6th in overall reservation rates. Real-time reactions continued on online communities and social media. A 10-Year Journey Portrayed by Matt Damon and Anne Hathaway

'Odyssey' captures the tumultuous 10-year journey Odysseus, the King of Ithaca, undergoes to return to his home and family after the Trojan War. Matt Damon plays the protagonist Odysseus, and Anne Hathaway stars as his wife Penelope, while Tom Holland plays his son Telemachus, working together in acting synergy.

The cast includes a large number of Hollywood actors such as Robert Pattinson, Zendaya, and Charlize Theron. Director Christopher Nolan, who took the megaphone, has directed 'Interstellar', 'Dunkirk', 'Tenet', and 'Oppenheimer'.
