Chae-yeon Jung, a former member of the group I.O.I, has released photos capturing her appearance during her past activities.
Recently, Chae-yeon Jung posted a selfie taken in front of a waiting room mirror on her social media. In the photo, she is captured from the side, wearing a top that reveals her shoulder line with her long straight hair flowing down. A red-toned outfit is placed on the table.
Papers with messages celebrating I.O.I's comeback are attached to the wall, indicating that the photo is a behind-the-scenes shot from her time with the project group. Chae-yeon Jung wrote in her post, "A very late behind-the-scenes shot. It was definitely cold back then,, but today it's 34 degrees, everyone, please wear sunscreen." She mentioned the current sweltering weather in contrast to the cold weather of the past.
From singer to actress, an expanding acting spectrum
Chae-yeon Jung, who debuted in 2015 with DIA's 1st full album 'Do It Amazing', gained public popularity through activities for the project group I.O.I's 1st mini album 'Chrysalis' in 2016. Since then, while continuing her musical activities, she transformed into an actress, beginning her journey as an actor through the drama 'Drinking Solo'.
Her career as an actress has been steadily progressing. She portrayed Han Song-yi in the Netflix series 'First Love is First' and its sequel, depicting a youth romance, and has consecutively played Noh Sang-gyeong in KBS 2TV's 'The King's Affection', Na Ju-hee in MBC's 'Golden Spoon', and Yoon Ju-won in JTBC's 'Family by Choice'.
Recently, she appeared in the JTBC drama 'Esquire: Lawyers Dreaming of Being Lawyers', playing the roles of rookie lawyers Kang Hyo-min and Kang Hyo-ju. She has expanded her range beyond existing youth or family dramas to professional characters.
In 2017, Chae-yeon Jung received the Best New Actress award at the Asia Artist Awards (AAA), and in the same year, she won several awards related to female acting idols and CF models at various award ceremonies. In 2018, she won the Rising Star of the Year award at the Seoul Webfest.
