Actress and singer Uhm Jung-hwa is returning to the screen after six years. She is taking on the action-comedy genre through the film 'Okay Madam 2'. Recently, Uhm Jung-hwa posted a black-and-white photo of herself singing with a microphone on stage on her social media, expressing her determination to continue her legacy through musical activities and video content. Along with the photo, she left a message saying, "I give my records and resolutions to you."
A desperate crisis encountered on a luxury cruise
The film 'Okay Madam 2', scheduled to be released on August 12, is set on a luxury cruise. It tells the story of the protagonist Mi-young, who leads an ordinary life with her teenage daughter and unemployed husband, but gets caught up in a kidnapping incident by a criminal organization during a cruise trip, leading her to embark on a mission once again to save her family and the world.
Appearing on SBS 'Connect! Movie World' broadcast on the 18th, Uhm Jung-hwa explained the core content of the work. She said, "She is invited to a truly wonderful luxury cruise but falls into a desperate crisis, and the key point to watch is how she will ultimately save the ship."
Returning with a sequel six years after the previous work 'Okay Madam 1', Uhm Jung-hwa shared the atmosphere on the filming set. She stated that although six years have passed since filming the first installment, (the cast members) met frequently, and the set was harmonious thanks to their meetings on birthdays or special days.

When co-star Park Sung-woong jokingly told Uhm Jung-hwa, "There are rumors that you ran while thinking of Tom Cruise," Uhm Jung-hwa drew laughter by responding, "Since it was a shoot that had to be finished in a short time, I really ran hard."
Lee Sang Yoon, who made a special appearance, had more screen time than originally planned and devoted himself to preparing for his character by building his physique for three months. He stated, "I was originally only planning to make a special appearance, but the schedule kept getting longer," and noted that he worked hard to bring out the color of his character within the comedic atmosphere.
Bae Jung-nam also shared his thoughts on the filming environment, which took place on an actual cruise, saying, "The real cruise was so wonderful."
