Um Jung-hwa proves her action confidence in 'Okay Madam 2' with her abs

Actress Uhm Jung-hwa has revealed her toned physique, supporting her action capabilities for the film 'OK Madam 2', which is set to be released on August 12. Born in 1969, Uhm Jung-hwa recently posted mirror selfies and workout videos showcasing her muscular body filmed at the gym on her social media. Wearing a black bra top and short pants, she revealed her lean six-pack abs and muscular arms. In the video, Uhm Jung-hwa performed sit-ups and push-ups, as well as tool-based exercises reminiscent of the action scenes in the movie.

The Return of Mi-yeong, a Former Agent Caught in a Cruise Kidnapping

The film 'OK Madam 2' is a comic action movie that tells the story of the family of Mi-yeong, a former legendary agent, who gets caught up in a kidnapping incident in the middle of the ocean during a luxury cruise trip. Uhm Jung-hwa plays the role of Mi-yeong, who was once an agent but is now an ordinary housewife running a pretzel shop. Director Lee Cheol-ha structured the action sequences of this work to be powerful. He stated that because he knows exactly what kind of actress Uhm Jung-hwa is, he believes she will be faithful to the role she plays.

The core of this film is the high-difficulty hand-to-hand combat between Uhm Jung-hwa and Choi Soo-young, who plays the villain Anya. Transforming into the leader of a criminal organization, Choi Soo-young teased an intense character despite it being her first challenge in the action genre. Choi Soo-young shared her thoughts, saying, "I had many worries, but thanks to the chemistry with senior Uhm Jung-hwa, I think wonderful scenes were born." The confrontation between the two actresses marks the climax of the film.

The cast is also spectacular. Actor Park Sung-woong appears as Seok-hwan, showing him swinging his fists toward the bridge. Rookie Ryeoun, making his screen debut, plays Ji-hoon, a magician who fights against the criminal organization alongside Mi-yeong. Park Sung-woong and Ryeoun deliver performances that traverse between action and comedy.

Uhm Jung-hwa, who debuted in the 1992 film 'Marriage Story', is a singer who released hit songs such as 'Rose of Betrayal', 'Invitation', 'Poison', 'Festival', and 'D.I.S.C.O', and an actress who appeared in 'Singles', 'OK Madam', 'Doctor Cha', and 'My Golden Star'. 'OK Madam 2' will be released in theaters nationwide on August 12.
