Having married in 1989, they faced their first divorce in 1998 due to personality differences. They reunited two years later in 2000, but separated once again in 2015 due to Na Han-il's prison sentence.

The decisive person who brought the couple back together is their daughter, Na Hye-jin. Having helped her parents reunite while working as an actress, Na Hye-jin currently runs a cafe in Seoul. Na Han-il visits his daughter's cafe every day, acting as a supporter. He said that seeing his daughter's face is his happiest time and that the daily routine of having a cup of coffee at the cafe is a great joy in his life.

The relationship between Na Han-il and Yoo Hye-young had deep conflicts. In 1998, nine years after starting their married life in 1989, the two chose their first divorce due to personality differences.
