Lee Sun-bin signs exclusive contract with Nexus E after 8-year dispute

Actress Lee Sun-bin is embarking on a new chapter after signing an exclusive contract with Nexus E&M. Nexus E&M announced on the 29th that it has finalized the contract with Lee Sun-bin. The agency stated that it will provide unsparing management support to ensure Lee Sun-bin can continue her prolific career as an actress.

This signing holds significant weight as it comes immediately after the conclusion of her legal battle with her former agency, Wellmade Star ENT. Lee Sun-bin had been engaged in a long-standing dispute with Wellmade Star ENT regarding the termination of her exclusive contract. At the time, Wellmade Star ENT claimed that Lee Sun-bin had violated the contract signed in 2016 and had been acting unilaterally since 2018. However, in the first instance trial in 2020, the court ruled that Lee Sun-bin's individual activities were lawfully terminated, citing the agency's failure to properly submit settlement supporting documents. The first instance ruling was upheld in the appellate court in 2022, bringing the nearly eight-year dispute to a close.

Joining a robust lineup alongside Song Ji-hyo and Soo Ae

Nexus E&M, which Lee Sun-bin has joined, is an agency specializing in actor management. Its roster includes Song Ji-hyo, Soo Ae, Jung Yu Jin, Lee Ho-won, Oh Kyung-hwa, Park Jung-hwa, and Hwang In-sik. Upon signing, Lee Sun-bin has already confirmed her appearance in her next film, 'The Taste of Prison.' Alongside her journey with the new agency, she will balance various projects, including film filming.

Since her debut in the 2016 JTBC drama 'Madame Antoine,' Lee Sun-bin has been active across both film and television. She solidified her presence in the film industry through appearances in 'Okay! Madam,' 'Mission Possible,' 'Air Murder,' and 'Noise,' while her television career includes '38 Task Force,' 'Criminal Minds,' 'Sketch,' and 'Extraordinary Investigation,' as well as recent works such as the 'Work Later, Drink Now' series, 'Boyhood,' 'Potato Research Institute,' and 'Go to the Moon.'

Meanwhile, Lee Sun-bin has been in a public relationship since 2018 with actor Lee Kwang-soo, who is nine years her senior, through the variety show 'Running Man.'
