Moon Se-yoon forms 'Moon-ki' with Turtles, recreating the late Turtleman's voice

Comedian Moon Se-yoon is forming a special project team with Geumbi and Ji-i, members of the group Turtles. In the 768th episode of KBS2's 'Immortal Songs,' airing on the 8th, the second part of the 'K-POP Time Machine Special' will unfold, featuring Moon Se-yoon performing a tribute stage to the late Turtleman alongside the members of Turtles.

The highlight of this episode is a format where impersonators and original artists team up for a single performance. Geumbi, Ji-i, and Moon Se-yoon will unite under the name 'Moon-ki' to perform 'Woman on the Beach,' the iconic summer hit by the co-ed group Cool. Moon Se-yoon's vocals will fill the void left by the late Turtleman, who passed away in April 2008 due to acute myocardial infarction, creating a meaningful moment of remembrance.

Shin Hyo-bum, who was present on set, acknowledged the resonance of Moon's voice, remarking after hearing their harmony, "It brings him (the late Turtleman) to mind. It felt as if I were looking at him."

Ji-i personally expressed her gratitude to Moon Se-yoon for the opportunity to share the stage. As the performance was centered around a voice that evokes memories of the deceased, the members shared a deep emotional connection. Following the first part of this special, which featured nostalgic performances by Yurisangja (Yurisangja), So Chan-whee, Hong Kyung-min, R.ef, Park Mi-kyung, and Shin Hyo-bum, the second part will conclude with Park Nam-jung, Hyun Jin-young, Noise, Turtles X Moon Se-yoon, and Cha Yeon.

When Park Mi-kyung jokingly responded, "Tell us what he's bad at," Geumbi added, "He's good at everything, but he can't handle long practice sessions."

Moon Se-yoon seized the moment, jokingly lightening the mood by quipping, "Chubby guys can't manage many practice sessions in a day." The banter between the three added a layer of meaning beyond simple entertainment, intertwining with the longing for the late Turtleman.
