Jonathan, "Eating is how I relieve stress"... A visit to a Jeolla Province restaurant with Song Ga-in

Singer Song Ga-in and entertainer Jonathan showcased their extraordinary 'tiki-taka' while tasting Jeolla Province food in Seoul.

In a recently released video on the YouTube channel 'Song Ga-in', Song Ga-in and Jonathan are seen visiting the restaurant 'Gwangju Hoegwan' located in Imun-dong, Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul. This restaurant is a place Song Ga-in has known since her days living in a dormitory near her university, and it is characterized by the fact that one can taste Jeolla Province food in Seoul.

"Authentic Jeolla Taste"... Jonathan's explosive eating capacity

Starting the meal, Jonathan chose spicy stir-fried pork and braised hairtail as his menu. During the meal, Jonathan continued to express his admiration, saying, "It's really delicious" and "This is the first time I've felt the taste of Jeolla Province in Seoul." In particular, Jonathan showed an extraordinary eating capacity by ordering extra bowls of rice during the meal. In the video, Jonathan was seen eating 4 bowls of rice, and regarding this, he mentioned, "I relieve stress by eating."

Song Ga-in reacted to Jonathan's eating by saying, "You eat so much" and "This is a mukbang." Jonathan added that he chooses eating as his usual way to relieve stress and that he has recently been enjoying things like hamburgers. While explaining that the composition of a hamburger consists of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats—combining bread, tomato, lettuce, and meat—he expressed the opinion that they are not healthy when combined.

Song Ga-in's reminiscences of the past and Jonathan's broadcasting activities

The two shared conversations on various topics while eating. Song Ga-in mentioned her experience majoring in traditional Korean music, stating that thanks to having done traditional Korean music, her stage experience helped her feel less nervous when she started trot. She also reminisced about her experience appearing on a broadcast in 2010 when she was in the third grade of elementary school. Song Ga-in explained the process of appearing on broadcasts, starting with Happy Together in 2019, followed by Nasseun in 2020, and The Manager.

Jonathan talked about his growth process as an entertainer. Jonathan explained the motivation that led him to naturally appear on broadcasts, along with the process of receiving casting offers as his appearances increased. Song Ga-in expressed surprise at Jonathan's activities, unlike herself who did not have many variety show appearances, calling him a "broadcaster belonging to the legend category." Jonathan revealed that he lived in Jeolla Province from the age of 8 and spent more than 9 years there, but now in his 15th year of living in Seoul, he continued the conversation using a dialect accent. Jonathan even requested help from Song Ga-in while trying to guess the meanings of dialect words to solve the quiz. Jonathan also experienced difficulty encountering words such as 'sibang' during the quiz.

Song Ga-in and Jonathan showed a close relationship, such as sending selfies to each other or having casual conversations even during filming. Jonathan mentioned that Song Ga-in actively contacts him, such as suddenly sending selfies or conveying news about filming via KakaoTalk.
