BRAVIO, a brand of the brake specialist company Sangsin Brake, has released high-performance brake pads dedicated to the AVANTE N and has proven its performance in motorsports competitions. According to a MOTline video, the BRAVIO Team took 1st place in the 200A class of the recent 'Jeonnam GT' endurance race held in Yeongam, driving an AVANTE N equipped with BRAVIO pads.
Developed Based on Racing Team Data... "Focusing on Control Performance"
The BRAVIO brake pads for the AVANTE N released this time are products developed through numerous tests conducted by Sangsin Brake and the BRAVIO Team over approximately two years. In particular, the BRAVIO Team is a team that has maintained top positions in races over the past 10 years using N series models such as the Avante and VELOSTER, and possesses vast data to identify areas for improvement in stock vehicles.
According to an official appearing in the video, the product is designed to be suitable not only for sprint races but also for endurance races. The core development goal of the product is to maintain a 'stable Lead value.' The official explained, "While the initial braking power (courage) is also excellent, the focus is on a product made so that the lead can come out stably, so it is very excellent in terms of control." While developed to provide optimized performance for high-performance vehicles while remaining drivable on ordinary roads, it is characterized by the fact that noise may occur due to the nature of racing pads.
The main driver of the BRAVIO Team and the current 1st place point holder in the N Festival N2 class, Ipareu, participated in this test drive. Yoon Seong-mo teamed up with Ipareu to participate in the race to directly verify the durability of the product. Yoon explained, "The purpose is to first entrust it to Ipareu to drive hard until the car is sufficiently heated up, and then I take over to feel the durability of the brakes."
Durability That Withstood 2 Hours of Continuous Driving... "Finished Without Rotor Deformation"
The practical performance of the product was confirmed through the 'Jeonnam GT' endurance race. Jeonnam GT is a type of competition where drivers drive continuously for 2 hours, and the driver who completes even one more lap than others wins. Ipareu and Yoon Seong-mo of the BRAVIO Team participated in the race with an AVANTE N equipped with the product.
After finishing the race, Yoon Seong-mo spoke about the performance of the product, saying, "It was a relief that the brake point (braking point) did not slip," and "No deformation of the brake rotor was seen until the end of the race, and I was able to drive very comfortably without changes in initial braking power maintenance or release." In particular, he emphasized that there was no performance degradation even in the endurance race environment, where high-intensity hard braking is continuously performed. Yoon added, "Even though I continued hard braking just like during a sprint race, it was fine."
As a result of the 200A class on this day, Team 46 (Ipareu, Yoon Seong-mo), equipped with BRAVIO pads, took 1st place and grabbed the winner's trophy and 1 million won in prize money. 2nd place was taken by a vehicle using Alcon products, and 3rd place by a vehicle using AP Racing products. The BRAVIO Team stood on the podium, surpassing expensive aftermarket products even while equipped with stock specification pads.
Attacking the Global Market Based on Sangsin Brake's Technology
Sangsin Brake, the parent company of BRAVIO, is a company whose technological prowess is recognized in domestic and international markets. In the video, it was introduced that Sangsin Brake supplies original (O.E.M.) products to leading overseas brands and is actively involved in the aftermarket and motorsports fields. Sangsin Brake has built recognition in the global market by conducting O.E.M. supplies to overseas brands such as Swift.
The official mentioned that Korean consumers have very strict standards regarding brake pad noise, dust, wear, and braking power, analyzing, "Because they must meet these demanding requirements, the technological prowess of Korean brake pad manufacturers inevitably rises to a world-class level." It was mentioned that Sangsin Brake recorded sales in the 500 billion won range last year.
