The National Pension Service's fund management return continues its double-digit upward trend, with total fund reserves surpassing 1,866 trillion won. Records 27.2% Fund Management Return… Achieves 'A Grade' in Management Performance Evaluation

According to a National Pension TV video, the National Pension Service achieved a fund management return of 27.22% in the first half of 2026, with total fund reserves exceeding 1,866 trillion won. The video explained that while returns may be partially affected by market volatility in the second half, the service is continuing to deliver good performance thanks to diversified investments in various assets, such as domestic and international stocks, bonds, and alternative investments, as well as risk management.

In addition to investment performance, indicators were shown in the management and social responsibility sectors. The National Pension Service obtained an excellent grade (A grade) for two consecutive years for the first time since its establishment in the '2025 Public Institution Management Performance Evaluation' hosted by the Ministry of Economy and Finance. Among the 88 institutions subject to this evaluation, only 15 received an A grade, indicating that the organization has essentially achieved the highest level of performance. Furthermore, it has maintained the highest grade for five consecutive years in the public institution shared growth evaluation, and recorded an all-time high of 93.7 points in the public institution customer satisfaction survey conducted last April.

Introduction of KakaoTalk-based 'AI National Assistant'… Increasing Accessibility to Pension Services

The National Pension Service will expand its platform services by incorporating AI technology to increase service convenience. Through the 'AI National Assistant' platform provided by Kakao and the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, major services related to the National Pension Service can be used through KakaoTalk conversations alone.

Previously, users had to find menus directly through the service's website or a separate app, but in the future, they can simply request the AI National Assistant using everyday language, such as "Check my National Pension enrollment details" or "I want to apply for voluntary National Pension enrollment." The AI identifies the user's intention and connects them to the relevant service after undergoing identity verification procedures. Through this, tasks such as checking National Pension enrollment details and applying for voluntary enrollment can be processed more easily and quickly.

The National Pension Service stated that it plans to continuously promote new projects that citizens can experience, such as support for the first pension insurance premium for young people and automatic old-age pension payment services.
