During this journey shared through MBC's 'I Live Alone', Cha Woo-min visited Mangwon Market in Seoul. Although the market was filled with various foods such as fried chili peppers and seaweed rolls, Cha Woo-min focused on purchasing ingredients, leaving the temptations of street food behind in accordance with his usual dietary principles.
Heading to the butcher and vegetable stall instead of greasy foods
Upon entering the market, Cha Woo-min encountered the unique food offerings of the area, mentioning menus like fried chili peppers and seaweed rolls. However, he showed a firm attitude when faced with greasy foods like kalguksu and fried items that appeared shortly after. Expressing that the smell of oil was "dizzying," Cha Woo-min revealed that he was not craving flour-based or greasy foods. This is interpreted as a result of the physical changes he has achieved through consistent exercise and dietary management.
Passing the food stalls, Cha Woo-min headed to a butcher shop. He began his serious ingredient preparation by requesting 1kg of pork belly to make bossam. He then went straight to a vegetable stall, focusing on a typical dietary composition for someone who exercises. His movement, centered around the butcher and vegetable stalls while passing various food corners, demonstrated a diet tailored for an athlete.
Carbohydrate management and 7 years of living alone expertise
Regarding his diet management, Cha Woo-min also expressed specific preferences concerning carbohydrate intake. Based on his experience consuming various carbohydrates such as sweet potatoes, he mentioned that potatoes are the most delicious and provide lasting satiety.
The experienced nature of Cha Woo-min, who has been living alone for seven years, was also observed. In the process of preparing a meal using the ingredients purchased at the market, he showed a lifestyle of efficiently managing nutrition while controlling carbohydrate intake. Along with natural communication with market merchants, his eating habits, forged through thorough self-management, were integrated into the everyday scene of his market visit.
