Two major works produced by domestic and international studios under CJ ENM have been nominated for the 54th International Emmy® Awards. The works involve co-productions by labels under the U.S. subsidiary FIFTH SEASON and CJ ENM STUDIOS, respectively, representing an achievement that demonstrates the production capabilities of a global multi-studio system.
From survival in London to medical thrillers: nominees in each category
The nominated works include one entry each in the Drama Series category and the TV Movie/Mini-Series category. In the Drama Series category, "A THOUSAND BLOWS," co-produced by "The Story Collective," a label under FIFTH SEASON, has been named a nominee. The work depicts the survival and power struggles of two Jamaican friends who plunge into the dangerous world of bare-knuckle boxing amidst the rough lower-class world and criminal dens of London's East End in the 1880s.
In the TV Movie/Mini-Series category, the medical thriller "HYPER KNIFE," co-produced by CJ ENM STUDIOS, was selected as a nominee. "HYPER KNIFE" portrays the intense confrontation between Se-ok, a former promising genius doctor, and Deok-hee, the mentor who caused her downfall, featuring performances by actors Park Eun-bin and Sul Kyung Gu.
Tangible results of a global studio network
The International Emmy® Awards is a prestigious awards ceremony that honors the highest level of excellence in television programs produced outside the United States. This nomination achievement shows that the domestic and international multi-studio system established by CJ ENM is leading to tangible creative results on the world stage. CJ ENM has previously served as a global cultural bridge by hosting the "2026 International Emmy® Awards Semi-Final Judging" in Seoul for two consecutive years.
A CJ ENM official explained that these International Emmy® Awards nominations are a result showing that the global studio network, built through various approaches, is producing practical results in both domestic and international local markets, and stated that the company will continue to focus on producing differentiated IP that can attract global viewers.
The final winners of the 54th International Emmy® Awards will be announced at the main ceremony held in New York, USA, on November 23.
