Artist Evan has captured a journey through the exotic landscapes, gastronomy, and spectacular fireworks of Macau. Amidst the warm weather, Evan took a red bus for a city tour to capture the diverse facets of the city.
Unique Buildings Resembling LEGO and Views of Macau Tower
Starting his city tour, Evan focused on the unique architecture of the city. While traveling by bus, he expressed admiration for the colorful buildings, noting they looked like "LEGO" or "mountains or trophies." Against the backdrop of the Macau Tower visible through the bus window, he enjoyed the clear weather and nature of Macau, sharing that the bus tour allowed him to soak up the sun and improved his mood.
"Mala Sauce is Lifeline": A Hot Pot Feast at Haidilao
Feeling hungry during the city tour, Evan visited Haidilao to continue his culinary journey in Macau. He ordered mala hot pot and tomato soup, enjoying meat and ramen accompanied by a special sauce he made himself. While noting that the spicy mala sauce made his "tongue tingle," he relieved the heat by drinking watermelon juice during the meal. He fully immersed himself in the atmosphere, eating meat and ramen as he dined.
Evan remarked on the difference in dining experience, stating that eating at the restaurant is "certainly different from eating via delivery." Although he initially hesitated due to not knowing exactly how to eat certain items, he continued his meal through direct experience. Emphasizing the intensity of the mala sauce, he added, "I can't survive Haidilao without this (the drink). Drinking it brings peace." He also suggested that dipping dumplings into the white broth would be delicious.
The Lingering Impression of Fireworks Pouring Like the Milky Way
After finishing his meal, Evan moved near the site where a match between Portugal and South Korea was taking place to watch fireworks. To see the fireworks in person for the first time in a year, he secured a spot to watch from a distance. He could not hide his admiration while watching various shapes and colors of fireworks decorating the night sky, focusing on the sounds and textures produced as the fireworks exploded to fully enjoy the atmosphere.
Watching scenes where fireworks descended like the Milky Way and changed colors, Evan remarked, "It feels like South Korea won." After the spectacular fireworks display concluded, Evan wrapped up his day and summarized his journey in Macau.
