First-generation yoga masters Yeo Dong-gu and Lee Jeong-eun earned 171 points on the March 3 broadcast of TV CHOSUN's 'Ten Million Masters Show' after demonstrating high-difficulty Acro Yoga movements. The married couple emphasized that mutual trust is essential to prevent accidents when entrusting one's body to a partner's limbs.

Moving in ways that push limits while supporting each other's bodies, their performance was a realm of trust that went beyond simple exercise. On the March 3 broadcast of TV CHOSUN's 'Ten Million Masters Show', Yeo Dong-gu and Lee Jeong-eun, known as first-generation yoga masters in South Korea, appeared to demonstrate Acro Yoga.

"Entrusting one's body to the partner's limbs"... The core of couple yoga is 'trust'

The two, who appeared on stage, were introduced as having met as yoga teacher and student and are currently a married couple. Yeo Dong-gu, a first-generation yoga master serving as the president of the International Yoga Meditation Association, performed 'Acro Yoga'—which incorporates acrobatic elements—alongside Lee Jeong-eun. They emphasized that mutual breathing and communication are essential to perform Acro Yoga, which adds acrobatic elements to traditional yoga.

They cited 'trust' as the most important factor when performing couple yoga. Due to the nature of movements where one must fully entrust their body to the partner's arms and legs, a small crack in trust could lead to a major accident. Lee Jeong-eun noted that "since you entrust your body to the partner's arms and legs, mutual trust and faith are essential," mentioning the danger that if trust breaks, one could fall from above.

Locking practice room doors for security? Clarifying "strictly a business relationship"

Playful arguments regarding the relationship between the two occurred throughout the stage. When reports surfaced that they had locked the door during the practice process, they clarified, "It was to maintain strict security," and "We simply began doing couple yoga as a strict business relationship." In particular, a profiler on the cast, who observed their close practice process, jokingly asked, "The door was locked, but all the sounds could be heard."

The two shifted the atmosphere by revealing their age difference. Lee Jeong-eun stated she is 43 and Yeo Dong-gu is 41, and when asked if yoga helps maintain a youthful appearance, they drew laughter by responding that it "has the effect of smoothing out wrinkles."

A wondrous performance embodying the beauty of the human body

As the main performance began, the atmosphere on set turned to admiration. High-difficulty movements followed, such as Lee Jeong-eun balancing in mid-air while Yeo Dong-gu supported her, or the two stretching their bodies in a straight line. In particular, Lee Jeong-eun's ability to hold herself in mid-air or take a lotus position using only her core strength drew reactions from the cast such as "wondrous" and "like a work of art." Exclamations like "the human body is most beautiful" and "the posture is wondrous" poured out on site.

The two stably performed the high-difficulty movements, recording a final score of 171 points. The stage concluded with evaluations that the performance was a result created by the deep breathing and trust between the two, moving beyond simple physical activity.
