RESCENE's LIV reveals GFriend performances inspired her dream of becoming a singer

LIV, a member of the group RESCENE, has showcased both her vocal capabilities and variety skills. Appearing on the KBS Kpop content 'Lee Mujin Service,' LIV shared the process of nurturing her dream of becoming a singer alongside her recent new song promotions.

During the broadcast, LIV revealed the decisive moment that led her to pursue a career in music. She stated that she developed the dream of becoming a singer while watching performances by GFriend. She added that she likes the group so much that she feels a desire to learn from VIVIZ member Ha Mun.

LIV also spoke about her relatively short period as a trainee. Having undergone approximately one year of training, she recalled "competing with quantity" to grasp the necessary skills in a shorter time than others. She explained that her efforts to practice late into the night to secure sufficient practice time while balancing school life led to her current activities.

"A habit of singing harmonies instead of melodies"... Exceptional musical interest

Her deep interest in music is evident in her daily life. LIV revealed that she greatly enjoys layering harmonies. She mentioned that even in situations where she should be singing the melody while traveling in a car with her members, she habitually adds harmonies. She noted that because of this habit, she is told by her members that she is good at singing.

LIV demonstrated her ability to create instant harmonies on the spot. When presented with a specific chord, she did not stop at following the melody line but showed her musical understanding by constructing harmonies using intervals such as the 2nd and 7th. Regarding RESCENE's musical style, LIV explained, "We aim for music that is melodic and can be sung along phrase by phrase, allowing listeners to empathize by projecting it onto their own lives."

From her mother's favorite song to K.Will... Diverse live song selections

LIV performed songs from various genres during this broadcast. For her first song, she chose "You're Different" by Han Ye-seul. She shared the personal background behind the choice, stating, "I selected it because it is a song my mother has enjoyed listening to since I was young." In her following live performance, she continued to demonstrate her vocal strength with K.Will's "Beautiful in My Life."

Regarding the title track "With" from the 4th mini album 'Pulse,' LIV conveyed the meaning of the song: "The time we ran toward you now signifies the promise that we will move forward together." Meanwhile, LIV mentioned her connection to the program, having visited in April 2026 with member MINAMI to show support, and shared that her schedule has become busy due to receiving much love in just a few months.
