RESCENE reveals musical direction for first physical album in one year, noting "30% metallic concept"

The group RESCENE has expressed anticipation for their first physical album in one year and revealed the musical color contained in their title track, "With."

The group appeared on the Spotify Korea content "K-Pop ON! RECORD." During the session, the members used Spotify's shuffle feature to engage in communication through various keywords and missions themed around their title track, "With."

"30% is metallic concept"... Comeback after one year and musical changes

RESCENE shared the efforts they put into preparing this mini album to meet the expectations of their fans. As it is their first physical album released in one year, the members confessed to feeling a great sense of responsibility and pressure regarding the perfection of the songs. They explained that they poured much passion into the practice process, especially as fans continue to respond positively to the quality of the music.

They also addressed questions regarding changes in their concept. RESCENE acknowledged fan inquiries about a "cold and intense metallic concept" that contrasts with their existing image. In response, the members explained that while this album is not a complete metallic concept, approximately 30% of the feeling is contained in some of the included tracks. They added that because the feelings of the songs vary due to the nature of a mini album, they plan to show a wide spectrum ranging from warm songs to intense ones.

"The 'U' part is the most difficult"... Killing point of title track "With"

Specific stories regarding the production process and musical characteristics of the title track "With" followed. The members revealed that they devoted a lot of time to specific sections to increase the perfection of the song. In particular, the section where they pronounce "U" was chosen as the killing part that the members put the most effort into because the line is difficult.

The members also shared points to bring out the atmosphere of the song. Along with point choreography utilizing hand movements, they emphasized that facial expressions are important in certain parts. Lyrics such as "After running breathlessly, I faced the future I drew every day" were mentioned as lines the members personally cherish, supporting the narrative of the song.

"Oriental herbal shampoo scent?" Scent-guessing mission conducted while wearing blindfolds

The "We RESCENE" keyword mission that followed demonstrated the high level of intimacy between the members. Having spent much time together, the members revealed they are close enough to identify one another just by their scents.

During the mission where MINAMI wore a blindfold to find members by scent, the unique characteristics of the members were revealed. WONHEE was described as having a "baby scent, like someone who just washed up," while Gyeong-eun was described as having a "natural skin scent." Meanwhile, a joke was made about a certain member's scent being like "oriental herbal shampoo," drawing laughter among the members. The mission concluded with a scene showing how closely the members observe one another.
