Musicians Mirani and SINCE reflected on their early careers in a video released on the MiraniGorani YouTube channel, recalling how they once drank discounted FiLite on studio floors because imported beer cost 10,000 won for four cans.
Musicians Mirani and SINCE shared a candid conversation reflecting on the time they were studio mates. In the video released through Mirani's YouTube channel "MiraniGorani," the two discussed the hardships they faced when starting their music careers and their relationship with one another.
"A time when imported beer was too expensive"... Memories of FiLite shared on the studio floor
The connection between the two began approximately 7 to 8 years ago at a venue in Seoul. SINCE recalled her first impression of Mirani, noting that she had bleached her hair yellow at the time and initially thought Mirani was younger than her, only to be surprised to find a four-year age difference. The two grew close quickly after sharing a studio; SINCE joined the space Mirani was already using, and they worked in shifts, with SINCE coming to the studio after finishing part-time jobs. During that period, SINCE was so dedicated that she would sleep in the studio while balancing work and music.

The most intense memories they shared were episodes from their economically difficult days. At the time, they lacked the means to afford imported beer, which cost 10,000 won for four cans. Instead, they would buy FiLite on sale at a local mart and spend time sitting on the studio floor drinking it with snacks. "Back then, we promised that once we made a lot of money, we would definitely drink imported beer," SINCE recalled. They revealed that their resolution has been fulfilled, as they now enjoy imported beer together after achieving success.
Memories of Show Me the Money and 'Watermelon Bar' hair
The conversation continued with stories from when they appeared together on "Show Me the Money." To stand out on stage, they attempted bold styling; SINCE wore green-toned hair while Mirani sported pink hair. They recalled being nicknamed "Watermelon Bar" by fans because their hair colors resembled a watermelon. SINCE added that she had made such a bold attempt that she even had four different colors hidden behind her green hair.

During that time, they shared not only musical concerns but also personal relationship troubles. There were times they comforted each other with drinks whenever they went through breakups. SINCE once surprised Mirani by maintaining a calm attitude even in the face of a breakup. Mirani recalled being startled by how unbothered SINCE seemed. Regarding this, SINCE revealed her inner thoughts, saying, "I habitually acted calm because I was afraid that showing how hard it was would make me look weak," adding, "I tend to hold my tongue until I can resolve things myself, as I believe it is ultimately up to me to solve my own problems."
Changes in daily life found through hobbies: Baseball and reading
The two also discussed their recent lives. SINCE revealed that she has been interested in baseball since last year. As a fan of the Hanwha Eagles, she finds joy in cheering at the stadium and has recently visited during the regular season to cheer.
She is also moderating her habit of drinking for her health, reducing it from seven days a week to about three. While she used to drink every day in the past, SINCE explained that she now regulates the amount to approximately three days a week for her health.
Additionally, SINCE has recently taken an interest in reading. She has started reading e-books instead of paper books by subscribing to Millie's Library and mentioned finding enjoyment in reading the novel "Kkumbaek Gajeong" recently. Mirani also shared their changed daily lives, noting that she enjoys the act of picking out books at bookstores.
