NOX to conduct demonstration of Edge AI-based construction site safety management with K-water

NOX is joining hands with K-water to carry out an innovation project for construction site safety management utilizing AI technology. NOX announced that it is proceeding with this joint project after being selected for 'Everyone's Challenge Climate Tech', a 2026 public-private open innovation support program.

Overcoming limitations in identifying CCTV blind spots and movement paths with multi-edge technology

Construction sites are environments where blind spots are easily created with only a single fixed CCTV due to structures, stacked materials, and moving heavy equipment. In particular, when a worker or heavy equipment moves out of the field of view of a specific camera to another area, it is difficult to continuously track movement paths through video control at the individual camera level alone.

To solve this, NOX applies 'multi-edge collaboration technology,' where multiple edge devices exchange object information to continue detection and tracking. This method allows the movement paths of workers or heavy equipment moving across multiple areas to be identified without interruption by having adjacent cameras and edge devices take over and track objects that have left the field of view of a specific camera. This technology applies a registered patent (No. 10-2618508) held by NOX.

Expanding demonstrations based on NOXAI Platform without external data transmission

NOXAI Platform is an AI video analysis and control platform that analyzes video directly on on-site edge devices without transmitting video to an external cloud. Unlike existing methods that collect and process all video at a central server, it has a structure that performs AI analysis on on-site edge devices and collaborates by sharing only necessary object information. The company explained that this enables efficient video control even in large-scale facilities.

Ji Hyo-cheol, CEO of NOX, explained regarding this project, "This is an opportunity to directly verify NOX's edge AI technology at public sites." He continued, "By cooperating with the working departments of K-water, we will complete a safety management model without blind spots and expand its application beyond the construction field to large-scale facility sites such as energy and ports."
