The talk show 〈IDOL'S TABLE〉, which shares the tastes of global idols through K-food, showcased a cooking process themed around fusion street food. In this episode released as an Mnet Plus original, the cast members personally used Korean ingredients to create unique flavors.
The Harmony of sesame oil and seaweed flakes, the birth of a fish cake skewer dish
During the cooking process, the cast members actively utilized sesame oil and seaweed flakes to add Korean flavors. In particular, for the dish using fish cakes, they added visual fun by skewering the fish cakes in an S-shape. While pouring sesame oil into the pan once more and grilling the fish cakes until golden brown, the cast members showed focus on controlling the heat with patience to increase the quality of the dish. Along with a mention that it might be difficult to use low heat because they tend to be impatient, they approached the cooking with confidence until the final 10 minutes.

The key to the dish was the sauce. To a base made by mixing dark soy sauce, mirin, sugar, minced garlic, eojujang, and chives, they added gochujang to complete the 'kick' aimed at Korean tastes. To this, they sprinkled a topping powder made by mixing seaweed flakes and parmesan cheese in a 1:1 ratio, creating a salty yet savory flavor similar to the injeolmi powder placed on top of Japanese mitarashi dango.
"I want to eat this as a snack at home," expectations for the fusion dish
Facing the finished fusion street food, the cast members expressed high satisfaction with the visuals. The fish cake dish coated in the gochujang-based sauce received evaluations that it was "perfect for Korean tastes," drawing reactions such as "I want to eat this as a snack at home." The cast members who made the dish expressed their affection for the cooking by recommending that many people try following this recipe.

Although there were somewhat awkward moments as it was their first time in the cooking process, expectations for the taste of the finished food were high. The episode continued as they wondered about the secret flavor hidden in the sauce, with tension and excitement intersecting just before tasting the completed dish.
